Was it worth sullying your reputation among every criminal defense lawyer in the state just so Kathy Belich could get a story? Was it worth having your claims of “professionalism” published on Mr. Boedeker’s blog on the same day you sold out an entire organization.

And for those that are interested, I did verify that Mr. Sheaffer lied to obtain the seminar materials. Apparently FACDL was concerned that the audio would be leaked, so they set up a system to stream the audio.
Mr. Sheaffer called FACDL headquarters and claimed he was having a hard time hearing the audio and would like to have a copy sent to him. He went so far as to say he needed it so that he could maintain his death penalty qualifications.
FACDL believed Mr. Sheaffer and sent him the audio as he requested – he immediately turned it over to Ms. Belich. The rest is history – just like his reputation among his colleagues.

As a side-note, I was informed that when this situation was brought to the attention of the News Director for WFTV-ABC, he was the consummate professional and removed all references at the request of FACDL. I would like to not only commend him for that, I would like to say thank you.

I find that a bit distasteful, as we use only use that saying for those who have died here on earth.
I don’t think you wish him peace at all, and it’s distasteful to use the meaning RIP when someone has not truly passed… Not only to him, but for all who have passed.

Well, to that I say… where is your compassion Mr. Hornsby? Where is your compassion and understanding for Mr. Sheaffer? You are so quick to “defend” rapists and murderers … but when it comes Bill, you seem pretty quick to crucify the man. Why is that? What is to be gained by YOUR actions? A little tit for tat maybe?
Andrea Lyons exposed herself as a slime … not only in her seminar, but in that little stunt of throwing Roy Kronk under the bus. People are repulsed by it. The man’s life and reputation obviously means very little to you (and your ilk) … but amoungst us “common peasants”… it means a great deal.
Bill Sheaffer is a decent man. He took a stand because he knew what the defense did was dispicable! He put the TRUTH out there & he earned the respect of many… and possibly restored just a little faith.
The TRUTH – That is the key word that is missing in this whole saga.
I’ve been so naive – I was always under the impression that our legal system strived for TRUTH & JUSTICE.
This Casey Anthony case has shown me quite the opposite.
All I’ve seen (from the defense) is side-stepping, dancing around, smoke & mirrors, lies, deception, detractions,
accusations, fast talking, mud slinging, hit & runs, etc., etc., etc.!
Does it even matter to any of you the a child is dead??? Or is it more important that you get her killer off??? Nevermind… I already know the answer.
